ABC News Radio Interview – AFL Stadium Vote Over But Still a Long Way To Go

Meg Webb MLC, Independent Member for Nelson, speaks on ABC News Radio with presenter Thomas Oriti on Friday 5 December 2025 reflecting on ramifications of the Legislative Council’s final vote on the AFL Stadium the previous evening, particularly for the future of Hobart’s historic heritage waterfront, on which the intrusion of the stadium will alter irreparably the face of Tasmanians’ capital city and home of thousands.

Ms Webb reiterates her support, that that of many concerned Tasmanians for the State AFL team, but warns there is still a long way to go before the stadium eventuates.
