Motion Debate – Call for Independent Review of Commission of Inquiry ‘s identified Impediments to Misconduct Findings Processes

Meg brought on for debate her motion seeking to establish an independent and external inquiry into the serious impediments to making findings experienced by Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government’s Response to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings, and as raised in the Commission’s Final Report.

Meg tabled her motion on the 7th of November 2023 and debated it on Tuesday the 14th of November 2023.

The motion passed with the majority of the Legislative Council voting in support.
